USA FIBA Team More Functional Than Ever; Red Foxes Cheerleaders Picture Gallery

Without all of the huge egos to get in the way, USA is coming out on top so far with a 5 game winning streak. USA won against Iran this past Wed and with this epic beat down, we all know why gas prices are on the rise! 

So far the USA scores are as follows:

USA v. Croatia 106–78
Slovenia v. USA 77–99
USA v. Brazil 70–68
Iran v. USA 51–88
USA v. Tunisia 92–57

Since last year, its the rise of the international Red Foxes skirts that I pay attention to but for Iran vs. USA, the cheerleaders were forced to wear black pants and white shirts (couldn’t they have at least got them wet???).

According to New York Times, the Red Foxes were told that their outfits were too risque and their dance routines were offensive to Turkey (a country that is almost entirely Muslim). FIBA said Wed that it was not their choice to have the girls cover up and not perform.

FIBA did not state who imposed the ban and for what reason but it was known that the Turkish prime minister, Tayyip Erdogan, along with his wife, attended Turkey’s games both Tuesday and Sunday. Both of those games had no cheerleaders present at all.
